Sunday 9:00 am
POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
DFMC offers a time to come to church to pray - for our church, for our community, for our nation, and for our world. Take advantage of this special time each week to talk to God and share your praises and your concerns with Him. Communion is optional, but we hope that this prayer time will become an important part of your weekly rituals.
Sunday 9:30 am
We offer adult classes, as well as opportunities for children and youth, to study and learn more about God and the church. Our number one objective is to win people to Christ. Then it is our responsibility to care for them spiritually. Through these small groups, we want to get to know each other better so that we can best minister to each others needs.
Sunday 10:30 am
DFMC's traditional worship service is spent worshipping and praising God through song, prayer, and message. We invite the Holy Spirit into our service so that we can be filled and nurtured by God. We invite you to COME AND SEE what God is doing at DFMC!
Sunday 5:00 pm
Brandon Smith, Youth Director, meets with the youth in the Community Room or basement. Our faith-based activities include Bible study, fellowship, and fun. Our goal is to encourage our youth to be involved not only in the church, but also in our community, so they can develop a closer relationship with God and then be ambassadors for Him. We hope to create a spiritual awakening in our youth so they can grow their faith and build a firm Christ foundation to last a lifetime.
Sunday 5:00 pm
Dana Harrelson meets with the children on the third floor. Activities include Bible study, fellowship, and fun. Our goal is to teach our children about God and create a love for Him that will carry them through life.
Sunday 5:00 pm
Sunday night is a time of getting to know the Bible through a more in-depth study. As a group, we choose a book and Mike leads us through the chapters, helping us to better understand its meaning.
Wednesday 7:30 am
The United Methodist Men's Group meets in the Fellowship Hall for devotional and business. The group often has outside projects like building ramps for local residents, bottling honey at New Water Farms, and church maintenance. They are generous donors for local missions.
Wednesday 7:30 am
The Christian Women in Action (CWIA) Group meets in the Community Room for devotional and business. Their projects include cooking and baking and their annual Fall Market where they sell homemade jams, jellies, preserves, breads, cakes, pies, and crafts.
The Christian Women in Action Too (CWIA Too) Group meets about twice a month on Wednesday nights. Their schedule varies and so does their meeting place, which is often at a local restaurant. They coordinate with the morning group for a successful Fall Market and lend a helping hand where needed.
Both groups are generous donors for local missions.
Wednesday 9:00 am
The women typically do a quarterly Bible Study on Wednesday mornings. For more details, see the "Special Events" tab at the top to see dates the group is meeting.
Wednesday 6:00 pm
Jamie Hutcherson, Choir Director, meets with the choir to rehearse music for Sunday morning special music and special events such as the Easter and Christmas Cantatas. If you can make a joyful noise to the Lord, then you are invited to join us! We do not meet on the first Wednesday night of the month so we can enjoy the Wednesday Night Family Supper.
1st Wednesday of each month 6:00 pm
Once a month we join together to feast and fellowship together. There is no charge for these meals, but donations to cover the cost of meals are accepted. There is no choir practice or Bible Study on these Wednesday nights.
